Umidigi G1 Max

Umidigi G1 Max is more a premium variant of the Umidigi G1. It was launched alongside the similarly speced Umidigi C1 Max. Compared to the G1 it adds a fingerprint sensor as well as a more powerful processor, more generous memory, and a better camera. Umidigi G1 Max features a 6.52-inch display, 50MP dual camera, 8MP front camera, and a 5150 mAh battery.

Design, Display, and Cameras

The major difference between the Umidigi G1 Max and C1 Max is in the outward design just like in the relationship between the Umidigi C1 and G1. While the G1 Max has flat edges with metal frame, the C1 Max offers a 3D curved edge design. Aside this, both devices share exactly the same specs.

The body is built on AG Matte finish just like its less endowed variant. The rear camera positioning is similar to the G1 but you are getting an upgraded camera.

A 50 megapixels camera paired with a 2 megapixels depth camera is located on the back with an LED flash. This should offer improved photography. Night mode and low light photography has also improved on this device.

The 8 megapixels camera provided in the front should also improve selfie quality over the 5MP camera on the less premium variant. The front camera is housed on a V-notch.

Most of the rest of the front is occupied by a 6.52-inch display with a 720 x 1600 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. However, you would notice a sizable bezel below the screen.

Umidigi G1 Max is available in two colors, Galaxy Blue and Starry Black. There is a fingerprint sensor on the power button on the side.

Hardware and Software

Umidigi G1 Max gets a processor upgrade. It runs Android 12 on the more powerful UNISOC T610 built on a 12nm process.

The chipset offers a dual-cluster architecture with a dual-core Cortex-A75 clocked at 1.8GHz and a hexa-core Cortex-A55 clocked at 1.8GHz.

For better performance, this affordable android phone adds a 6GB LPDDR4X RAM. This combined with the CPU should offer improved user experience. A 128GB of built-in storage is provided with a hybrid slot that enables you add additional storage capacity of up to 256GB via memory card.

Umidigi G1 Max promises up to 20 hours talktime, thanks to the 5150 mAh battery. You can also expect up to 25 hours music playback and up to 7 hours video playback according to the manufacturer. A USB Type C port is provided for charging with charging capacity capped at 10W.

Connectivity

The android phone features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port and Bluetooth 5.0. The smartphone supports 4G LTE with dual 4G VoLTE and dual-Wi-Fi.
