Fixing Recording Is Used By Another Program Please Close Application Used By Device On Android .
We some times make changes on our device then forget how we did it "lol" let get back to why I'm making this post today. The Latest Android versions from 5.1 to 8.0 are all equipped with OK Google For search purposes weather you are on the Google app or not and you want to make a command with OK Google.When you want to do a voice or video recording and you are being told that The Recording Device Is Used By Another Program Please Close Used Program, Just don't panic as I once did before which made me had to format Android device (Factory Reset) . Because I thought my phone has gotten a virus when it was bringing it up each time I wanted to do a video recording.
How To Fix The Problem With These Steps
Quickly go to setting on your phone then stroll down to language and input.
Click On user input and proceed.
Then click on enhanced Google services which will take you to the next option.
Then proceed to OK Google's detection as circled on the picture.
As you can see here OK Google's detection is enabled on to work from any part of the phone screen which will prevent other applications like video and voice recording from working and giving you an error message that The Recording Device Is Used By Another Program Please Close Used Program.
All you have to do is to turn it off to save yourself the stress and you can use OK Google from the google app only unlike before you can say OK Google from any part of the phone screen.
